New work showing in Sydney

Over the next two months I will have two new bodies of work showing in Sydney.

The first major exhibition for photographs from my 10 Miles series are to be shown at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Photography and Place: Australian landscape photography 1970’s until now. These new images are on level two (upstairs) in the gallery. This will be the first time these images will be shown together and the show includes 18 other artists – Jon Rhodes, Lynn Silverman, Simryn Gill, David Stevenson, Debra Phillips, Ricky Maynard, Rosemary Laing to Paul Ogier. The show is open from 16 March – 29 May 2011.

The other new work is showing at Barometer Gallery in Paddington. Video Garden Artefacts (VGA) 1997/2011 is work revisited and investigates an earlier understanding of landscape, technology and the individual. It too, like the series from The future imperfect, sees the garden as a thinking place. The show is on from 15 – 31 March 2011.
